When is the last time you picked up a book? Yea, girl, I know don’t feel bad. It took me a minute to get back on track, so I completely understand. I told myself ok Tiffany it’s time to start back educating yourself and reading for me was the perfect way to do it. I know a lot of people think reading is boring, but that’s not always true. If you get a good read, you will never put that book down.
My Goal
In the beginning of this year, I challenged myself to read a minimum of two books a month and so far, so good. I prefer to choose between 2-3 different categories.
I normally pick something that will grab my attention like “The Wedding Party”. Y’all when I tell you Maddie and Theo will have your nose in the book the entire time. It’s just like watching one of those urban movies. I won’t tell you what happens you will have to read it and let me know what you think. But guuuuuurl you won’t be disappointed.
Book # 2
My next book of choice is one that is educational. As content creator, I like to soak up as much knowledge as I can in the social media world. “The Young Entrepreneur’s Guide to Starting & Running A Business” is just what I needed. I’ve learned a lot from what I’ve read so far. If you are a current or aspiring entrepreneur, I would recommend you check this book out.
I have one last bonus book to throw into my list. This is has been around for awhile but is a really good read. One thing that stood out to me the most when reading was how so many of the same examples Issa mentioned happen to her as kid also happened to me in some form. It made me realize it’s ok to be a little nerdy, tell a few jokes, and to be introvert. Why because you are being true to who you are. I definitely recommend this book.
I know you might not have enough time to sit down and physically read a paper book and that’s ok. Just keep in mind that listening to an audiobook or downloading a virtual copy works all the same.
Now that I’ve shared what I’m currently reading if you feel like you are ready to jump on the reading train, join me. It’s never too late!
Until Next Time,
Tiffany
